Former Abia state governor, Orji Uzor Kalu has declared interest in investing in Arsenal FC, stating that he will buy a staggering 35 percent stake at the Premier League club.

Senator representing Abia North in the Nigerian National Assembly who has declared interest in investing in Arsenal FC, cleared some doubts in his interest in Arsenal.

Enyimba International Football Club is a Nigerian football (soccer) club based in the city of Aba which plays in the Nigerian Professional Football League.

The club was Founded in 1976, rose to prominence in the 2000s during Kalu's regime and is considered the most successful Nigerian football club as they won two African Champions League titles, eight Nigerian championships and four Federation Cups since 2001.

Revealing this in a post on his official Facebook page, the Senator said, "As a young man, I embraced business before I walked into politics . I found greatness in trading before the call to serve beckoned .

"The records out there are evidently confirming this position. I see opportunities and never afraid to make them possibilities.

"This was richly applied in my love for Football and remarkable results were achieved in Enyimba FC.

"I read some of your comments asking me to invest in Enyimba FC instead, but I can't because Enyimba is a government enterprise and not a commercial entity.

"I would have long bought Enyimba if it was commercialized. With Arsenal we will make Enyimba become great again with the strategic partnership we are packaging.

"We shall turn it around to create a platform for more of our professional players seeking for international exposure A win win outing for all parties and valuable investment as well.

"Doing what you love and loving it is where greatness lies. I need 35% of Arsenal to bring back trophies."
