EFCC seals of Baraza Office In Yenagoa

The building of the Baraza Multiple Purpose Cooperative Society in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has been sealed by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC). "EFCC, under investigation," the anti-graft agency boldly wrote on the building.

Baraza is a financial contributory investment cooperative that promised contributors a 25% return on their investment.

Bazara collapsed into a catastrophic financial crisis after only a few months of operations, unable to pay investors their 25% monthly surpluses for the previous five months.

Pastor Bribena, the cooperative's CEO, had promised investors that the cooperative would reopen on July 19, 2021, and that payments would begin with "first timers" before moving on to others, but this did not happen.
