Gunmen abducted and murdered IMSU 300-level Law student

Kenneth Ibe, a 300-level law student at Imo State University in Owerri, was kidnapped and killed by gunmen.

The student, a state youth leader, was abducted along with another man on their way to a Christian wake in Uguiri, in the state's Isiala Mbano LGA, on Friday night, September 24.

Ibe was reportedly kidnapped by the abductors while the other victim managed to flee the kidnappers' den. On Saturday morning, September 25, his body was discovered along the Nkwo Mba road.

His friends have paid tribute to him on social media.

On Facebook, Chidiebube Okeoma, one of his Anara relatives, described the killing as "dastardly."

"The killing of our brother from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, Kenneth Ibe, a 300 law student at Imo State University, is most unfortunate," Okeoma wrote in his post.

Those who live by the sword are doomed to die by it. What a world we live in. Such a bright light had just been dimmed. "My heart is bleeding."
