Igbo NTA Staff stoned to death in Kogi

 

Unknown individuals assassinated a Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) employee named Chukwu Odiahu in Okene, Kogi State. 

On Tuesday evening, late Odiahu, who works in the engineering department of the NTA boaster station in Okene, was stoned to death after he left work. 

Although the cause of the attack on late Odiahu was unknown at the time of filing this report, information gathered revealed that all staff on duty had been arrested and are currently being interrogated at the Nigeria Police Force Divisional Office in Okene.

An NTA employee in Okene who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed the incident. "It is very unfortunate that we all woke up this morning to see the death of one of our colleagues in the engineering department," the staff said. 

He left the office after we finished transmission around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Unfortunately, we discovered his body this morning (Wednesday) and discovered that he was murdered with stones by unknown individuals. Because they are prime suspects, all of the staff on duty have been arrested.

The incident has been reported to the police, who will conduct an investigation. Odiahu is a gentleman who is dedicated to his responsibilities. He died in a horrible way.” 

DSP William Ovye Aya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), has yet to confirm the incident because he has not returned calls or messages sent to his mobile phones.
