We are yet to hear from FG after 48 hours deadline - ASUU

Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has stated that the government has yet to contact the union 48 hours after the expiration of the ultimatum issued by the Federal Government.

In an interview with the Vanguard on Thursday, the union leader also stated that ASUU would make a decision on the next course of action soon.

"We have not yet received a response from the government." This is two days past the deadline we set for them.

"We are still consulting and we are going to come up with our decision after the necessary meetings are held," he said.
Osodeke, however, refused to disclose when the national leadership of the union would call a National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting.
