Anambra Deputy Governor Dump APGA, Defects To APC Ahead Of November Governorship Election

Dr. Nkem Okeke, the state's deputy governor, has recently defected to the APC ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra.

A delegation of APC leaders led by Senator Andy Uba stormed the deputy governor's Ngozika Estate home yesterday evening to drag him into the party.

According to a source at the meeting, the APC used our recent report on the plight of the Deputy Governor in the hands of Gov Obiano and his wife to storm his home this evening and force him to declare for the party.

Senator Andy Uba, APC's governorship candidate, his running mate, Barr Emeka Okafor, and his campaign director, Chief Paul Chukwuma, were among those who stormed the Deputy Governor's home this evening to drag him to APC.

According to a source close to the delegation, if the deputy governor officially declares for the APC, the delegation has promised to pay him all of the entitlements seized by Gov. Obiano.

They also assured him that President Buhari was aware of his decision to leave APGA and would be delighted to welcome him to the villa.
