NRC confirms blast on Abuja-Kaduna train track, begins probe

The Nigeria Railway Corporation has halted services on the Abuja-Kaduna route, confirming that a section of the train track near Rijana and Dutse in Kaduna State was bombed on Wednesday. 

Fidet Okhiria, the NRC's Managing Director, confirmed the blast on Thursday, saying that services had to be halted in order to conduct thorough investigations.

Recall that on Wednesday, bandits, attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train, forcing it to stop in the middle of its journey.

The bandits first attacked the train on Wednesday night, and it was successfully immobilized after struggling to move for 7 kilometers after the attack.
