BREAKING: Tottenham appoint Antonio Conte as manager

Official - Antonio Conte has been named as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur until June 2023. Agreement signed and announced by Spurs.

This comes just 24 hours after Nuno Espirito Santo, who previously held the position, was fired after a home 3-0 defeat by Manchester United.

Antonio Conte's contract with Tottenham will run until June 2023, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

After three years together at Juventus, he's reunited with Fabio Paratici.

Antonio Conte about Spurs--

"Our union did not happen last summer because the end of my relationship with Inter was still too fresh in my mind, and I was emotionally too involved with the season's end, so I didn't feel it was the right time to return to coaching."

Antonio Conte on why he changed his mind about Spurs--

"Daniel Levy's contagious enthusiasm and determination in entrusting me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has arisen, I have decided to seize it with zeal."

Tottenham director Fabio Paratici on Conte's arrival--

"With vast experience and trophies in both Italy and England, Conte's track record speaks for itself.

"I've worked with Antonio at Juventus, so I'm familiar with the qualities he can bring to us, and I'm excited to see what he can do here."
