Gas tanker explodes on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, 3 injured

The Federal Road Safety Corps said on Sunday evening that three men were injured in a gas tanker explosion near KM 38 of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to reports, the fire was started by a Liquefied Petroleum Gas tanker traveling towards the Sagamu Interchange on the expressway's outbound Lagos section.

FRSC operatives from the Sagamu and Mowe Unit Commands, on the other hand, have been deployed. The Ogun State Fire Service has also intervened to bring the situation under control.

Meanwhile, the three injured adult male occupants had been taken to Idera Hospital in Sagamu for medical attention, according to information available at the time of this report.

The vehicle's specifications could not be obtained because the fire was still burning. The firefighters who were contacted, on the other hand, have arrived on the scene.
