AFCON: Ghana FA fires coach Rajevac over poor performance

Following Ghana's lackluster performance at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), the country's Sports Ministry urged the Ghana Football Association to fire its Serbian manager, Milovan Rajevac, in an emergency meeting yesterday, according to African Sports Today.

Despite the FA's reluctance to terminate Rajevac, the Ministry appears to have won the battle for the Serbian's future.

Rajevac led Ghana to the 2010 AFCON finals and the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals in his first term with the Black Stars.
