According to a kidnap suspect (Ayobamidele Ayodele), he learned how to abduct by watching movies starring actor Zubby Michael.
Ayobamidele After being detained in Ogun state for kidnapping Ebube Eze, a six-year-old boy, Ayodele made the claim.
After the minor's father made a plea to the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, he was captured by the Force Intelligence Response Team, led by Tunji Disu.
Confessing to the crime, Ayodele said;
"My favourite Nollywood actor is Zubby Michael, who excels in kidnapping roles.
"I decided to try out some of the kidnapping methods utilised by Zubby in the movies to kidnap children and people."
"I started by going to a few schools in the Ojo area to see if I could pick kids without anyone noticing."
The suspect said that he had a good upbringing and that he "trained himself by watching Zubby Michael."
He continued,
"I apologise for inflicting such anguish to his family. I'm not a cultist or a thief with a gun. I don't belong to a gang.
"All I did was practise by watching Zubby Michael." My parents did an excellent job of raising me; I was just impatient and greedy."
