Abdulmalik Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary School, Kawana, Kano, has narrated how he used a N100 rat poison to end the life of one of his pupils.

Hanifa Abubakar, a five-year-old pupil of the school, was kidnapped while on her way from Islamiyya School in December and killed by her Teacher who is also the school's acting director.

According to report, Tanko had demanded a N6 million ransom from the parents of the child and in the process of collecting part of the money, he was arrested.

He had failed to disclose that the victim had been killed. When he was arrested at the Kano Police Command headquarters on Friday, he told journalists that he poisoned the girl with rat poison that he bought for N100.

Meanwhile, the Kano State government has ordered the immediate closure of Noble Kids Academy, a private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa Local Government Area, where the suspects buried the body of an abducted girl, Hanifa Abubakar.

Following the discovery of the victim's body buried in the private school, the State Commissioner for Education, Muhammad Kiru, issued a statement announcing the school's closure.

Kiru, who expressed regret for the occurrence, stated that in addition to closing the school, the state government would launch an investigation into unregistered private schools and teachers to prevent similar criminal activity.

He urged parents whose children attend the private school to refrain from doing so until the probe is completed.
