The Kano State Government has charged three defendants in the murder of Hanifa Abubakar, a five-year-old girl.
Tanko Abdulmalik Mohammed, the school's proprietor, Ishiaku Hamisu, and Fatimah Jibril were arraigned in Gidan Murtala's Chief Magistrate Court 12.
The allegations of conspiracy, abduction, concealing/keeping a kidnapped person in custody, and culpable homicide were read out in court, and they all consented.
However, the matter was postponed until February 2nd. Musa Abdulahi, the Attorney General of Kano State, told Nigerians that justice would be administered without fail in the next one or two months.
"What I can guarantee you is that the Ministry of Justice will file a charge in the relevant court within the next three to four days."
"We aim to prosecute this case forcefully, and we plan to complete the prosecution of this case within the next month or two." Please remain calm and let the law to take its course. We live in a culture where people follow the law.
"We realize how awful it is when these types of things happen, and we often wonder what is wrong with our society, but we must remember that we live in peace because of the rules that govern us."
"These individuals would not have been apprehended in the shortest amount of time if it hadn't been for those laws and security services."
