Priest Angrily Bans Igbo Songs In Church

0

Rev. Fr. James Anelu, the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ewu-Owa Gberigbe in Ikorodu, has banned Igbo songs and choruses from his church.

Even in his Church, the Priest, who violently interrupted a soul-lifting chorus during the second collection, declared the Igbos cannot continue to dominate other people.

He saw the instance of his Benin Diocese, where Igbos had dominated to the extent of Akubueze becoming Bishop in person.

According to Rev. Fr. James Anelu, the spirit of God in any location recognizes only the languages native to that location.

When he said this, the entire congregation erupted in a raucous outcry, forcing the Mass to be abruptly dismissed as people walked out in droves.
