Rangnick speaks on removing Maguire as Man Utd captain

0

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United's interim manager, has stated that he has no plans to remove Harry Maguire as the team's captain.

The boss (Rangnick) mentioned this during a press conference on Monday, ahead of today's Premier League match against Brighton.

Maguire was appointed as captain of the team by former manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Following a string of disappointing performances, the German responded to calls for Maguire to be replaced as skipper.

But Rangnick said: "Maguire is our captain and I don’t see any reason to change that.

"He is also a player who has to develop and get better like all the other players".
