Kenneth Ajilore, a Nigerian, was convicted to six and a half years in prison for rape by the Nightingale court in Hendon Magistrate Court.
Ajilore, of Stoke Newington's Prince George Road, is accused of rapping a woman inside a car.
Detectives launched an inquiry after a lady in her twenties reported being raped in a car after a night out in Stoke Newington, according to Hackney Gazette.
The attack happened on September 17, 2021, in the early hours of the morning. Officers were told by the woman that Ajilore invited her into a vehicle and drove her around the city.
The accused took photographs of the vehicle, which were used by detectives to track it down to Ajilore.
On the morning of September 16, they learned he had hired it. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses and studied cell phone data to further verify Ajilore was the perpetrator of the crime.
They also found CCTV footage and used DNA testing to connect Ajilore to the murder. On September 20, Ajilore was apprehended three days later.
