A National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Adisa Olushile, has narrated on Twitter how he made N500,000 for an aged drummer that always entertains corpers at CDS meetings.
The Corper, who is a photographer, said Baba Onilu, a talking drum virtuoso, comes to play happily, so he decided to make him smile more with his phone camera.
Adisa then minted portraits of Baba Onilu and sold them as non-fungible tokens, NFTs. He sold them and shared the proceeds with Baba Onilu.
When he gave Baba Onilu N500,000, the talking drummer became speechless. Other Nigerians also donated additional N100,000 for Baba.
In a tweet, Adisa wrote: “I am not rich oo, I just felt the man needs the money more, me I will be fine later.
"Thank you all for sharing my art, it means a lot to me."
