
Five people were slain after gunmen stormed a 'beer parlour' in Obiofia village in Osumenyi, in the Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred late Friday at Ụtọ Ndụ Beer drinking joint.
According to reports, the unidentified gunmen stormed the restaurant around 8:00 p.m. on Friday and opened fire on the patrons who were drinking and having a good time, with the owner as one of the victims.
Four of the victims were males, while one (the shop owner) was female, according to a viral video. They were all found lifeless in a pool of their own blood.
As of the time of posting this article, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, has yet to confirm the last night attack, stating that investigations are still underway and promising to revert.
