Osinbajo speaks on betraying Tinubu says 'I don’t owe anybody allegiance'

Osinbajo VP
Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President and a presidential candidate in 2023, has stated that he owes no one any allegiance other than his oath of office and the commitment he promised to Nigerians when he took office in 2015.

On Tuesday, he revealed this during his political consultations in Ogun State.

"After all, I have learned, if called upon to serve the nation, should I say No?" Osinbajo remarked to his supporters. "I've made the decision to run for office."

"I took an oath of allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is a pledge to our people, our children, and Nigeria's future. Outside of the pledge, I owe no one any allegiance."

Osinbajo made the announcement amid accusations that he betrayed his claimed godfather and former principal, Bola Tinubu, by declaring for the presidency while the former Lagos State governor is also running.
