Dangote son-in-law Jamil Who justified Deborah Samuel’s murder, no longer our pilot - Azman Airlines

After Jamil Abubakar, a member of the Dangote family, condoned the execution of Deborah Samuel by islamic extremists, Azman Airlines has distanced themselves from him.

Nigerians who mistook Mr Abubakar for an Azman Air employee began a diatribe against the company for hiring a religious bigot.

In a tweet on Saturday, Mr. Abubakar expressed his thoughts on the killing of Late Deborah Samuel by Muslim zealots, using verses from religious texts.

According to him

"In Islam we respect the Injil, Taura, Zabur, we were never taught to disresepct any of the book, or any of the prophets from Adam to Muhammad SAW & the Quran.

"The punishment for Blasphemy is DEATH! in most religions including Christianity. Respect people’s religion it’s simple!

"In Islam, the Sharia court handles these cases. Islam put rules & regulations to control peoples action and motives, so the wrong ones are not cheated and justice is served the right way," Mr Abubakar tweeted.

Azman Air issued a statement separating the airline from Mr Abubakar, informing Nigerians that the pilot had left the company in 2019.

"PUBLIC NOTICE: Capt Jamil Abubakar is no longer a pilot @AzmanAir; his last flight with us was 22nd Dec 2019," Azman Air said in a rebuttal tweet.

"We refuse to take responsibility for a comment or view of a former staff. The general public should kindly take note."

Ms Deborah Samuel, a 200-level Home-Economics student charged with blasphemy, had expressed her displeasure with the influx of religious broadcast messages published on her department's WhatsApp page.

Her complaints infuriated zealous classmates and schoolmates, who stoned her to death and set her lifeless body on fire.
