Ned Nwoko, a Delta-born politician and the husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has expressed his views on Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, running for governor under the Labour Party's platform in the upcoming governorship election.
Peter Obi, according to Nwoko, is unlike other governors he has met in the past because he is frugal and a big-time capitalist.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, Nwoko also indicated that he would like Peter Obi to return to the Peoples Democratic Party as Minister of Economy because he would do well in that position and would help the economy recover.
He further stated that to be President of Nigeria, Peter Obi would require a majority in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, as well as state house of legislatures and administration.
He claims that Igbos are primarily self-centered and unconcerned about others.
Nwoko also said that Igbos are unprepared for the presidency, claiming that this was demonstrated during the primaries.
