Families of the kidnapped victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack are protesting and demanding action as the terrorists threatened to start killing the remaining victims in their custody in the next 24hours.
An audio clip of one of the terrorists threatening to "slaughter the victims because the government failed to strive for their release" includes a new threat to start killing the hostages.
The audio's veracity was confirmed to news reporters in Kaduna by Mallam Tukur Mamu, who is also one of Sheikh Ahmad Gumi's negotiators and media consultant.
He declared, "The terrorists scheduled the threat for Wednesday because they were agitated on Monday after giving us another chance.
"I was sobbing and pleading with them that, given the government's delay, they speak with the family members personally to negotiate the release of the victims.
"They consented to engage in direct negotiations with the families of the victims based on the plea.
"However, they warned that if no meaningful action is taken by those who are interested in the negotiations by Wednesday, they will begin butchering some of the victims."
Meanwhile, the protest is holding in Kaduna State, as the terrorists claim that the Federal Government has failed to engage them over the release of the remaining victims.
