Govt demolished security post, not church building, Odumeje’s aide

The destruction of property around the church has been explained by the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, led by Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere alias "Odumeje" in Onitsha.

The church organization has declared that claims that the Anambra State Task Force destroyed the church building on Thursday are untrue and that only the security post and fence were harmed.

An aide to Odumeje stated in a video uploaded on his official Instagram page that the church structure was unharmed and services will go on as usual.

In the video, a voice can be heard saying, "It's widely believed that Odumeje's church has been destroyed. Contrary to what actually occurred, this This is untrue.

"However, the security building in front of Odumeje's church has been destroyed.

"The security building, which was a little bit near the drainage, was destroyed. Odumeje's church is still standing, as you can see."

The demolished portion of the security post was also visible on the video, as were the church's interiors, which were in good condition.

The government has designated the church, also known as Land of Freedom, as a "illegal building."

The State Government has designated the church, also known as Land of Freedom, as a "illegal building" and had already ordered its removal due to its encroachment on a sizable canal.

When the state task force attacked the site on Thursday to execute the destruction, the priest and several of the task force personnel got into a fight.
