The governor of Rivers State, Wike Nyesom, will aid the All Progressives Congress in winning the 2023 election, according to Ibrahim Masari, a former running partner of Bola Tinubu's presidential campaign.
Masari asserted that Wike doesn't have to join the APC in order for the party to be successful in 2023 during an interview with BBC News Hausa from London on Wednesday.
When questioned about the likelihood of Wike defecting to the APC, Masari responded,
"This is not a problem since Wike doesn't need to rejoin the APC; rather, he needs to become a fully-fledged politician with authority over numerous states, his zone, and the governors there.
"In modern politics, you don't need a person to come back to your party before he helps you".
Wike's connections with several PDP governors, he continued, will be useful in assisting the APC's victory in the 2023 election.
"We are not worried because the things we are seeing even if they are obvious right now, I tell us that there are PDP talents that would be helpful to us in the 2023 election."
