The statewide strike by the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has been suspended.
The choice was made during an urgent meeting on Wednesday with Chris Ngige, minister of labor and employment.
Ngige intervened in the strike, according to the minister's spokesman Olajide Oshundun.
Joe Ajaero, the secretary general of NUEE, promised that tonight power would be restored nationwide.
