Joachim Andersen threaten after Darwin Nunez red card against Liverpool

Joachim Andersen and his family have received death threats after he was involved in the incident which saw Darwin Nunez sent off. ⠀

The defender has shared a series of screenshots of messages on social media that include threats directed at him and his family and he has also asked the social media company and the Premier League to take action.⠀

Darwin Nunez and the Palace center back sparred for the better part of an hour at Anfield before the Reds striker was sent for headbutting Andersen in front of the Kop.

It was Jurgen Klopp's first dismissal for aggressive behavior at Liverpool, and the manager afterwards acknowledged he would personally speak with his new £64 million striker to prevent a repeat once the player served his three-game suspension.

It is understood the Premier League will speak to Palace to offer their assistance to Andersen.

The league also has an online abuse reporting system. Palace will speak to Andersen to offer their support, and help him report it to the police if wanted.
