Queen Elizabeth: FG Orders All Flags To Fly At Half-Mast

On Sunday, September 11, 2022, and Monday, September 12, 2022, all flags in Nigeria and at Nigerian diplomatic missions abroad must be flown at half-staff in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II.

The instruction from the Nigerian government was contained in a statement made accessible to journalists on Saturday in Abuja and signed by Rauf Aregbesola, the interior minister.

He claimed that the Queen, the United Kingdom's sovereign and the head of the Commonwealth, was honored by the order.

"We commiserate with the government and people of the United Kingdom and all the affected people of the Commonwealth and the world," the statement added.
