Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party's (LP) vice presidential candidate, has disputed the win of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the recently ended presidential election.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics on Wednesday, Baba-Ahmed stated that Tinubu must not be sworn in.

According to Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, Nigeria cannot swear in an illegitimate President.

While condemning the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, and President Muhammadu Buhari as inept for overseeing a faulty election, Baba-Ahmed stated that Nigerians could not be duped.

He also accused the electoral commission of not following its own rules, criticizing the use of BVAS and IRAV during the presidential election on February 25th.

He pondered why Nigeria, a country filled with fine people, would have a President accused of drug trafficking in the United States.
