Mercy Chinwo, a gospel singer, sued secular musician Obidiz for using her name and picture in a commercialized song.
The Confidence gospel singer sued him on March 23rd for derogatorily using her name and picture in a secular music audio and video.
Her attorneys issued a cease and desist letter to Obidiz, requesting that he abstain from using her name and image in the promotion of his music.
He must immediately remove the song he published from all musical platforms, as well as the promotional video comprising images and clips from all social media platforms.
If he does not comply with their demands, the entire force of the law will be unleashed against him, seeking $2 billion in damages.
