JUST IN: APP withdraws petition against Tinubu
The Action People's Party has withdrawn its petition in the ongoing procedures contesting President-elect Bola Tinubu's election victory.

Obed Agu, the party's counsel, stated this during Wednesday's sessions.

The counsel to the APP, Obed Agu, also asked the court to strike out and dismiss the suit. Agu stated that he was working on his client's directions.

Wole Olanipekun, Tinubu's counsel, responded by saying that he and his client are not opposing the withdrawal application and are not seeking costs.

Remember that the APP was challenging the Presidential Election on the basis of alleged non-compliance with electoral laws and INEC guidelines.

Justice Tsammani, the presiding judge of the Presidential Election Petition Court, dismissed the suit in a concise order.

Following the dismissal, the court rose and will reconvene at 2pm for the Labour Party’s suit.
