The Guinness World Records has explained why it has yet to endorse Hilda Baci's cook-a-thon.

Hilda Baci, a celebrity chef, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking period by an individual on Monday morning, May 15.

The previous record holder was Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

Hilda Baci had been cooking for 93 hours and was still cooking at the time of writing this report.

After being queried by netizen for being quiet, the Guinness World Records wrote on social media:

"We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record".

Guinness World Records (GWR) has not yet endorsed chef Hilda Baci's cook-a-thon for the following reasons:

GWR has not yet received all of the necessary documentation from Baci. This includes a video of the entire cook-a-thon, as well as medical records confirming that she was in good health throughout the event.

GWR has not yet been able to verify the accuracy of Baci's time. She claimed to have cooked for 93 hours straight, but GWR needs to be able to confirm this with independent witnesses.

GWR has not yet been able to determine whether or not Baci's cook-a-thon meets all of the criteria for a world record. This includes things like the type of food that was cooked, the number of people who participated, and the conditions under which the cook-a-thon took place.

GWR is committed to ensuring that all world records are legitimate and that they meet all of the criteria. Once GWR has received all of the necessary documentation and has been able to verify the accuracy of Baci's time, they will make a decision about whether or not to endorse her cook-a-thon as a world record.
