Five Sokoto corps members from the 2022 Batch B stream 2 have been sanctioned for various offenses, including absenteeism, according to the Sokoto state Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Usman Yakubu-Yaro.
One member will repeat the service year while the others will face extensions of at least three weeks or one month.
Yakubu-Yaro emphasized the scheme's zero tolerance for truancy and encouraged completed corps members to utilize their acquired skills and be good ambassadors.
He also acknowledged the support of the Sokoto state government and Sultanate Council for the NYSC Secretariat and corps members.
