Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has established a judicial panel of inquiry to recover government properties and funds that were allegedly looted during previous administrations.
The panel, chaired by Justice Florence Ikwuoma Duruoha-Igwe, consists of members such as Prof. Ogwo Ekeoma Ogwo, Mazi Ugochukwu Okoroafor, Rev. Fr. Alex Okonkwo, and Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa.
The specific terms of reference and the panel's inauguration date will be communicated to the chairman.
The decision to create the panel comes after Governor Otti's recent call for the return of government properties by those currently in possession of them.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, confirmed the governor's approval of the panel's formation and expressed that further details would be provided to the chairman.
