Triumph at the BET Awards 2023: Burna Boy Takes Home Best International Act

Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, emerged victorious as he claimed the prestigious title of Best International Act at the esteemed 2023 Black Entertainment Awards, BET.

The acclaimed "African Giant" singer triumphed over a formidable lineup of contenders, including Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy, among other notable artists, solidifying his dominance in this highly coveted category at the BET Awards.

Despite Burna Boy's physical absence from the event, his announcement as the winner resounded with thunderous applause and admiration.

Burna Boy's remarkable achievements over the past few years have been nothing short of extraordinary. 

His 2022 album, titled "Love, Damini," achieved global acclaim and success, adding to his already illustrious career. This is not his first time securing the Best International Act honor at the BET Awards; he previously won in the same category in 2019 and 2021.

Joining Burna Boy as nominees in the category were talented artists such as Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola, and Uncle Waffles.
