Hilda Baci cooks to raise funds for widow July 14

Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, will showcase her culinary skills in Lagos on Friday, July 14, to raise funds for a widow. 

The event is part of an initiative by Joseph Edgar, The Duke of Shomolu, to assist widows and help them become self-reliant. 

Baci, who holds the Guinness record for her mesmerizing skills, will display her culinary prowess to raise N1 million for a widow. 

The initiative, which has been running for three years, has raised over N10 million for deserving widows. 

The event involves friends and associates of The Duke of Shomolu donating cash instead of gifts to mark his birthdays, which are then sent to nominated needy widows. 

This year, N3 million was raised with the winner receiving N1 million, while 10 other widows shared the remaining N1 million. 

Baci will be cooking for 10 people at the Ivy Hotel at Emerald in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, and the sum of N1 million will be donated to a widow of her choice. 

The event is sponsored by Prothrive Astute Heights Ltd., makers of Grandios Pap, as part of its social responsibility.
