NECO announces common entrance exam results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 202 National Common Entrance Examinations, with six students scoring the minimum grade of 01. 

According to Andrew Adejo, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, a total of 72,865 pupils registered for the exam, with Lagos State recording the highest number of registrations at 18,644 and Taraba State recording the lowest at 102. 

The exam saw 69,829 pupils sit for it, with 3,036 pupils absent. Gender parity is improving, with 38,801 female registrants and 34,064 male registrants. The highest score in the exam was 203, which was obtained by 76 pupils.
