Otti swears in commissioners

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has inaugurated 16 commissioners who were approved by the state House of Assembly. Each commissioner has been assigned specific portfolios in the government.

The newly appointed commissioners include individuals such as Ikechukwu Uwanna (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice), Prof. Monica Ironkwe (Agriculture), Kingsley Anosike (Budget and Planning), and many others.

During the swearing-in ceremony held at Government House, Umuahia, the governor emphasized the importance of infrastructure development and urged the commissioners to prioritize the service of the state.

He stressed that corruption would not be tolerated and expressed his commitment to building a new Abia, aiming for a functional society that future generations would appreciate.

In response, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, spoke on behalf of the commissioners and assured their dedication to fulfilling their responsibilities. Although three commissioners were yet to be approved by the Assembly, they would be sworn in at a later date.
