Atiku Files 35 Grounds of Appeal to Challenge Presidential Election Outcome

Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has filed 35 grounds of appeal with the Supreme Court, seeking to overturn President Bola Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential election. 

Atiku's legal team, led by Chief Chris Uche, SAN, argues that the Court of Appeal's September 6 judgment was flawed and resulted in a miscarriage of justice. 

They assert that the Presidential Election Petition Court panel erred in law by not nullifying the election due to non-compliance with the Electoral Act, 2022, despite evidence of INEC's violations of election laws. 

Atiku alleges that the PEPC's unanimous decision was based on misinterpretation of the Constitution and the Electoral Act.
