They confirmed Mohbad's passing and expressed gratitude for the love and prayers received. The family also requested privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son, without disclosing the cause of death.

The statement read;

"It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Mohbad today, the 12th of September, 2023.

"Mohbad was light until the very end and as we mourn the loss of the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your love and prayers and ask that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.

"Imole is finally at peace".

Omowumi, the girlfriend of the late singer Mohbad, has expressed her grief and concerns about their 5-month-old son, Liam, following his untimely death. 

In emotional Instagram posts, she shared their love story and the challenges they overcame, expressing her confusion and the weight of newfound responsibilities.

"Liam is just five months today.

Somebody should help me i can’t do this alone.

Our love story was a different one.

We fought really hard to be here.
