The shortlist for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award has been unveiled, featuring Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who had a remarkable season with Napoli.
Osimhen played a crucial role in Napoli's success, helping them secure the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.
He is among the 30 players on the shortlist, with Lionel Messi also in contention. Messi, a seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, led Argentina to a World Cup victory in 2022 and is considered the favorite for this year's award.
The Ballon d'Or 2023 ceremony is scheduled for October 30th at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
