Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, is making efforts to mend a decade-long feud with fellow comedian AY Makun. The dispute between the two comedians has revolved around an alleged debt owed by Basketmouth to AY for over ten years.
In a March 2023 interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, AY recounted a past incident where Basketmouth had asked him to perform at a comedy show in his place.
AY claimed that despite delivering the performance as requested, he was never paid the agreed-upon fee of N30,000. He further alleged that the show's organizers had already settled the payment with Basketmouth before the event.
Basketmouth initially chose not to respond to the allegations and expressed his desire to avoid any communication with AY in the future.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Basketmouth has now extended an apology to AY for any wrongdoings. He took to his Instagram page to share a video in which he genuinely expressed remorse for any harm he may have caused to individuals within the entertainment industry.

"To my guy AY, I don’t know if my apology is still valid right now, but if it is, please forgive me for whatever I have done or said in the past that affected you in any way and I want you to know that I have forgiven you for whatever you said or did, knowingly or unknowingly. I just want peace and harmony", he said.
