Previously, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were considered primary suspects in the case, but recent events have shifted the focus. An auxiliary nurse, who administered injections to Mohbad before his death, became the prime suspect. Additionally, Primeboy, a close friend of Mohbad, voluntarily turned himself in to the authorities.
Although Naira Marley may not have played a direct role in Mohbad's death, the police revealed that he subjected the deceased to bullying and threats during his lifetime.
The EFCC statement read, "Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court...issued a production warrant against Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley."
Naira Marley's absence from court was due to police detention for questioning in connection with Mohbad's murder.
