President Tinubu Appoints New Leadership for EFCC

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Ola Olukoyede as the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for a renewable four-year term. This appointment follows the resignation of the suspended EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa. Mr. Olukoyede is an experienced lawyer with expertise in regulatory compliance and fraud management.
In addition, President Tinubu has appointed Mr. Muhammad Hammajoda as the Secretary of the EFCC for a renewable five-year term. Mr. Hammajoda is a public administrator with a background in public finance management.
The President has urged the new leadership of the EFCC to uphold the confidence placed in them as they play a crucial role in the government's renewed fight against corruption.
