The Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos is set to undergo a temporary closure for repairs, as announced by the Federal Government.

The closure is scheduled to take place from midnight on Saturday, October 21, to midnight on Sunday, October 22.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, explained that the government is embarking on comprehensive rehabilitation of the bridge, commencing with critical repairs.

To ease the current challenges on the bridge, palliative works will be conducted on the most severely damaged sections along the Adeniji bound carriageway on Sunday, October 22, in preparation for the broader repair efforts.

Motorists are urged to cooperate with traffic officials and adhere to diversions for smooth traffic flow. During this period, the Adeniji bound side of the bridge will be closed to traffic, and motorists are encouraged to explore alternative routes.
