ASUU Joins Nationwide Strike Led by NLC and TUC in Nigeria

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has aligned with the nationwide indefinite strike initiated by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC). 

ASUU's National President, Emmanuel Osodeke, directed members to commence the strike from midnight on Monday, November 13, in solidarity with the interests of Nigerian workers.

In a circular to ASUU's zonal coordinators and chairpersons, Osodeke urged immediate mobilization of members to participate in the strike. 

The nationwide action aims to protest the alleged assault on NLC President, Joe Ajaero, reportedly by the Nigerian police and the Imo State government.
