Emotional Victory for Liverpool's Luis Diaz as Father Released from Kidnappers

In a heartfelt turn of events, Luis Diaz's father, Luis Manuel Diaz, has been freed after spending 13 days in captivity at the hands of the National Liberation Army (ELN) guerrilla group in Colombia. 

The Liverpool forward scored a poignant late equalizer at Luton, revealing a message under his shirt reading 'Libertad Para Papa' (Freedom for Dad).

Diaz's mother was also kidnapped but was swiftly rescued by police. Diaz had returned to Colombia ahead of Liverpool's match against Nottingham Forest, indicating positive negotiations between officials and the rebels. Luis Diaz is now starting for Liverpool in their Europa League game in Toulouse.
