Microsoft Appoints OpenAI's Sam Altman for Advanced AI Research Team

In an announcement made by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, it was revealed that Sam Altman, known for his involvement in the creation of ChatGPT at OpenAI, will be joining Microsoft. 

This decision comes shortly after Altman's departure from OpenAI due to a decision made by the company's board.

Altman, expressing determination, emphasized that the mission continues, indicating his commitment to advancing artificial intelligence. 

Nadella affirmed Altman's new role at Microsoft, stating that Altman, along with OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman and their team, will lead a fresh advanced AI research initiative.

The abrupt departure of Altman from OpenAI led to additional significant exits from the company. However, reports suggest a considerable effort by major investors to reinstate Altman following the decision made by OpenAI's board.
